Clean Water
This is water like falling rainwater, broken water lines and other sources that do not pose immediate harm to humans.
Gray Water
This water contains contamination and can cause discomfort and sickness to humans. Examples include discharge from dishwashers, washing machines, toilet bowls in certain situations and many others.
Black Water
Black Water is very unsanitary. This is sewage from the toilet trap, sewage line backup and floodwaters. The contaminants could also include pesticides and toxic substances.
Mold
Molds are simple, microscopic organisms, present virtually everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Molds, along with mushrooms and yeasts, are fungi and are needed to break down dead plant and animal material and recycle nutrients in the environment.
For molds to grow and reproduce, they need only a food source—any organic matter, such as leaves, wood, or paper—and moisture.
